01

SOUND FAMILIAR?

You're on the tools all day and doing quotes at night. A website keeps getting pushed back, and the web designer's quote is more than a new set of tools. Meanwhile, people search for a tradie in your area and book whoever has a decent website.

02

Three messages and you're online

  1. 01

    Start a chat on WhatsApp.

Tell Kiosko your trade, your business name and the suburbs or towns you cover.

  2. 02

Send photos of your work and your prices.

A finished deck, a new kitchen, a fence you put up. Add services like "Deck build, from $2,500".

  3. 03

    Your page is live.

Put the link on your van, your quotes and your Google profile. Need a change? Send a message.

What should a tradie's website have?

Most people who need a tradie search on their phone, look at two or three websites and contact the one that looks reliable. Your site doesn't need to be big. It needs these:

  1. 01

Your trade and your area, up front. "Carpentry and decking on the Northern Beaches" tells people (and Google) exactly who you are and where you work.

  2. 02

Starting prices. "From $2,500" or "from $90 an hour" sets expectations and saves you from quotes that go nowhere.

  3. 03

Photos of real jobs. Before-and-after shots of your own work beat any stock photo.

  4. 04

Licences and insurance. If your trade needs a licence, show the number. It's often the first thing customers check.

  5. 05

An easy way to book or ask for a quote. A booking calendar, a short form or a WhatsApp button, one tap away on a phone.

08

How much does a website for tradesmen cost?

Specialist tradie and trade web designers usually charge a monthly fee, often around £80 a month in the UK, or a one-off build that commonly starts at around $1,500. A general web designer charges $1,500 to $8,000 for a small business site, plus monthly fees for hosting and changes.

With Kiosko, a trade website is free on yourname.onkiosko.com with up to 10 services. For $8 a month you get unlimited services, no Kiosko footer and your own domain ($19 a year, or free for the first year on the $96 annual plan). See the full breakdown in our guide to small business website cost.

Questions tradies ask

Which website builder is best for tradesmen?

The one you'll actually keep up to date. Most builders need a computer and a few evenings to set up. With Kiosko you build and update your site from WhatsApp on your phone, which suits tradies who are on the tools all day.

How much does a website for a tradie cost?

Specialist trade web designers usually charge around £80 a month in the UK, or about $1,500 and up for a one-off build. With Kiosko you can start free, or pay $8 a month for unlimited services and your own domain.

Can customers book jobs through my website?

Yes. Customers can pick a time in your booking calendar, fill in a contact form or tap the WhatsApp button on any service. Kiosko doesn't take online payments, so you agree the price with the customer directly.

Can I show my licence number and insurance?

Yes. Send them in the chat and they're added to your page.

I'm a carpenter, painter or landscaper. Does this work for me?

Yes. Kiosko works for any trade. Send your services, prices and photos of your work, and your page is built the same way.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. On the monthly plan your own domain is $19 a year; on the annual plan ($96/year) the first year is free. It's registered in your name. You'll need to confirm your email within 15 days of registering it.

Get your trade business online today. It takes about two minutes.
